Extras
Seals
All
roller shutter doors can be provided with nylon brush strip
seals for fitting at soffit level and/or along the vertical
guide channels. A rubber extrusion floor seal can also be
provided for the bottom rail to ensure closing or uneven
floor levels, and help prevent the ingress of water.
Wicket
Doors
Installed
on either side of the curtain a wicket door provides safe
and secure pedestrian access through the roller shutter
door when lowered. The whole assembly is independently side
hung and swings clear when the roller shutter door requires
raising.
The door is manufactured from welded section and fitted
with shutter laths to match the rest of the curtain. Standard
fittings include a ball type catch and night latch lock.
On electrically operated doors an interlock switch prevents
operation when the wicket door is in position.
Hoods
/ Fascias / Soffit Panels
A casing
box that is manufactured from galvanised or plastisol steel
sheet cover the coil and protect the curtain and barrel
from the elements. Front fascia and soffit panels are also
available to conceal the coil assembly.
Locking
devices
All
manually operated roller shutter doors can be fitted with
a wide variety of locking devices such as:-
-
Bullet locks
- Shoot bolts
- Centre locks
- Lateral locks
- Grille locks
- Ground unit locks
On
all electrically operated roller shutter doors, with locks,
an interlock switch is recommended which disengages the
power whilst the door is in the locked position.
Finishes
As
standard all non galvanised faces on 'commercial' roller
shutter doors are finished in one coat primer and one coat
silver hammer gloss. All non galvanised faces on 'industrial'
roller shutter doors are finished in one coat red oxide
primer. Other finishes to the door can be obtained such
as powder coating to any standard BS or RAL colour within
the HPS200 range. Aluminium curtains as an option can have
an anodised finish.
